Sverre to the USA?

The European Rallycross Champion, Sverre Isachsen from Norway, is considering a switch from European to American rallycross next season.

Sverre Isachsen has won the European Rallycross Championship the last three years, but 2011 may have been his last season in Europe.

- We are working hard these days to get all the pieces together. I have to admit that it is very tempting to drive the Global Rallycross Championship in the USA. I can’t come any further in Europe, and the future of rallycross in the States looks great, the 41 year old Norwegian says.

Sverre Isachsen drove for Subaru USA in X Games in 2010, and in the fall he won a race in the American Championship with his Ford Focus in New Jersey.

- I’m chasing partners these days, and I’m ready to move both my car and myself over to the USA any time. I think my car still is the best rallycross car in the world, and that I can win more championships with the Focus. But I’m also open to change car and try something new. People that think they have something to offer should be in touch.

The Viking Warrior thinks he will continue in Europe if a deal in the USA doesn’t fall in place.

- The dream scenario is to have one car in Europe and one in the USA, but that doesn’t seem very likely at the moment. The alternative for next season is to take one more season in the European Championship.
